Q: How often do you wash your dance thongs? Do you think F.D.S (feminine deodorant spray) is necessary?

Susan: Once a week, but I have a lot of thongs so I don’t always wear the same ones everyday, so…I’ve never used F.D.S in my life. I would never spray anything on my pussy, whatsoever… I don’t want to smell like flowers.

Q: Would you rather be an independent contractor or an employee with a minimum wage salary?

Susan: I am an independent contractor in the adult entertainment industry… [I'd rather be a contractor] because it’s different for me. I’m married, and my husband and I have an accountant who’s very good, so I’m a housewife! ….A majority of women in the industry don’t want to educate themselves on what they can and can’t do.

Asia: Probably an independent contractor, because it would probably allow for more money in the long run.

Jordan: I think I would like a bit of stability. So, it would be cool to have a minimum wage salary, to be guaranteed a set amount, maybe with benefits.

Q: Do you think certain drugs are common in strip clubs? Do you notice drug use or is it mostly well-hidden?

Susan: Hookers! Hookers are common. Wait, did you say girls?

No, I said drugs. I asked what drugs are common.

Susan: Oh! Drugs! Drugs A through Z are common. As an employee I definitely notice the drug use.

Asia: Even the customers know what’s going on, that’s when you know it’s bad. I’ve been asked, “why are there so many girls in the bathroom? Is there a meeting in there, or something?’ or ‘Where are the waitresses?’ Like, did you check the parking lot?

Jordan: Yes! I find blow on the tables in the dressing room! The first day I danced, one of the girls sat down with me and a customer, and her nose was running all the way down to her lips. She was obviously too fucked up to feel it…I know there are other drugs around, but I think coke is very prevalent.

Q: Is the male staff, i.e. waitstaff, bouncers, and management, ever overly sexual or inappropriate?

Susan: You can’t really answer that, because there’s serious and then there’s joking. Like, if someone were to say they were sexually harassed at a strip club, it’s have to be to the extreme.

Asia: I mean, there are few males working at a club with like, 60 strippers! What kind of question is that? I mean, yes!

Jordan: Not inappropriate. We all joke around about sexual stuff, but it’s all in good fun. It’s never anything offensive.

Q: Do you think your relationship with other dancers has an affect on your business?

Susan: It can be either a negative or positive effect… I mean, if we all worked together, we’d all be making more. Do you remember that guy Tong that would throw wads of cash onto the stage for absolutely nothing? And then he comes in, after he’s been coming in for a month, and he won’t throw money out for anyone. He wants to touch everything, and tries to grab everyone, all because some stupid bitch let him touch her, and she fucked it up for everybody… if this girl had continued with the tease, we’d all still be making money off of him.

Asia: It can be negative or positive. Some girls with cut your throat to get that dollar.

Jordan: I think it might be a positive affect, because I’m friends with most of the girls here, so some guys see that, and they might end up getting a two-girl dance.
