Wendy Reardon has Boston on lockdown…plain and simple. You name the publication and she’s been featured in it for her legendary pole dancing school: Gypsy Rose. The buzz around town amongst all the women (housewives and working women alike) is that Wendy is the master of the pole hands down whether it’s to entice that special man or woman in your life or just to try something new and feel sexy about yourself…whatever the case

A writer at heart, Wendy has accomplished so much beyond just her pole dancing school endeavors. Raised in Hanover, MA, Wendy holds a BA from Emerson College, has been a hand model for various publications, and has had a substantial career in mainstream cartoon production and television including a brief tour with Warner Brothers…just to name drop a bit. But going back to her writing, she is an accomplished author earning her Master’s Degree in Medieval History in England at the University of Reading. In her stay there, she danced her way through her program (hmmm….sounds like a “Naughty Classmate”) and on to write her book “The Deaths of the Popes”, a topic that has fascinated her since her youth.

She began teaching pole dancing as an adult education class until the demand grew and scheduling conflicts arose amongst other classes forcing her to make a decision…gather up the capital and start her own business. With a generous business loan from a friend she opened her doors to her first pole dancing school in Quincy, MA. She has also gone on to pen “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Exotic and Pole Dancing” in which she explains, “Just because I wrote the Idiot’s Guide doesn’t mean I’m the best or the prettiest or anything…I was just the one smart enough to call the Idiot’s Guide.”. She explains her reasoning for writing this book as a regular “schmuck” who can show women of any caliber that pole dancing and exotic dancing is not out of their reach. A regular woman showing other regular women that sexiness is within and not how small your waist line is or how large your bust may be.

Most of her clientele are average women as she explains, mainly women of typical stature and of normal, laid-back lifestyles looking for a different form of exercise and/or an interesting hobby. Wendy breaks down her classes in groups no larger than 5 at a time. This is because she stresses the fact that women pay to LEARN so smaller groups allow her to focus more closely with each individual she teaches. She really takes her time and is passionate about teaching the women of Boring-ville on how to add a spark to their own lives and their sex lives with their partner…or partners (Hey, we do not discriminate at PUMPSmag.com). But do not get it confused, Wendy also teaches the lovely ladies we drool over in our local Gentlemen’s Clubs. Women aspiring to be professional dancers as well as those professionals looking to expand their current dancing repertoire are informed that it is not their sexy moves that make them their money – its their attitude (but great pole work doesn’t hurt!). Oh and by the way, as a student of Wendy’s you are obligated to have a stage name by your second lesson (I prefer Candy or Misty) or she will give you one the likes of Chlamydia or Gonorrhea…so start brainstorming!

And Men, do not fret…along with these lessons, she very strongly suggests that the ladies “dress the part” and create the sexiness through attitude and wardrobe. So if your wife, girlfriend, or girl-on-the-side is interested….IT WILL BE EXTREMELY BENEFICIAL. And ladies, she encourages those who are afraid or timid with experience teaching girls aging from 18 to 67!
