The truth shall set you free is the age old saying that so many try to live by but tend to always come up short. Newly embarrassed Congressman Anthony Weiner has finally admitted that he sent sexually suggestive images of himself over the internet and admitted to lying by trying to cover it up.

Fighting back tears, Anthony Weiner told the political world, his supporters, nemesis’ and voyeur world that he is eh em human. Yes, he is human, but in politics he is a heathen, similar to Bill Clinton, Elliot Spitzer and the countless others who have never been uncovered. Considered a bull dog in the political scene he vowed to not resign because of this incident and continue doing his job.

At this recent press conference he didn’t leave any room for error and said “To be clear, the picture was of me, and I sent it. I’m deeply sorry for the pain this has caused my wife, and our family, my constituents, my friends, my supporters and my staff,” he said. What’s so crazy is how an individual with such professional intelligence can have such personal stupidity, this is ranked up there with Tiger Woods leaving voice mails on one of his countless mistresses voice mails saying “hey, this is Tiger”, just shameful!

Truth be told, Weiner wasn’t convincing when he said someone “hacked” his computer. While trying to save face he made himself look a lot smaller of a weiner than the Weiner that he actually is. Now he will be on the chopping block when it comes to the political scene and Democrats and Republicans a-like will treat him like an outcast, truth be told, be sure that there are a lot of his buddies and competitors that have just as interesting “past-times”.

Seen as a “rising star” by many in the political circle, Weiner also said he had inappropriate communications with about 6 other women while being married to his wife Huma Abedin but he also said he never met any of them. The question is will this be the beginning or ending of Congressman Anthony Weiners ever going saga? One thing for sure is that he isn’t the first politician caught with his pants down and he surely won’t be the last.

So why did he lie from the beginning of it all? Well he says “I lied because I was ashamed at what I had done, and I didn’t want to get caught.”
