Hi Dakota! We appreciate you for taking the time to let us and our readers get to know you a bit better!
Can we begin with some background info? Where you were born and raised, what your childhood was like etc?
I was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, specifically, the Pocono Mountains. As I kid, I was always active. I was either swimming, riding my bike, or at the playground. I played softball until the 4th grade and from 5th grade through college, I was a cheerleader. Of course, being from the Poconos, the winter months consisted of sledding and building snowMEN.
Before you became a dancer what jobs did you have and who did you work for?
My very first job was during college. I was a waitress at a pizza place on weekends. After college, I worked in a hospital in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department for nearly a year. I then took a job as a paralegal at a personal injury insurance defense lawfirm.
Why did you decide to go into dancing?
The ability to travel to so many awesome places, I love the attention, and it beats the hell out of a 9 to 5 job….been there, done that.
Once you made the decision to be a performer how did you start, more so how did you become a feature dancer?
I went and saw Shay Lynn at Al’s Diamond Cabaret in Reading, PA and loved her show and thought that it would be so awesome if I could do that. I looked up an agent, sent my pictures to him, and got hired for a tour. It’s been a hell of a ride since!
Can you share your first experience as a dancer with us? Were you nervous, what was it like, did you practice alot before hand etc?
As a feature: My first experience was at a club in Texas. I was very nervous. When I went out on stage to do my show, the crowd reaction was way more than I expected. I did my puppets shows and have been doing them since that very first booking. Now, that is what I’m noted for….I’m the “Naked Puppetmaster.”
Is it true you have 19 different performances you do? Can you tell us about some of them, especially your favorites?
Yes, I have 19 different themed shows and 9 different themed puppets who do different adult puppet skits. As I tell people who haven’t actually seen a show of mine, the puppet segment is very difficult to explain, “you just need to see it.” It is both sexy and funny…..just awesome entertainment. My absolute favorite show is my Devil Went Down to Georgia show. I also have a Fireman show; Calypso/Spanish show; Jungle show; USA show; an I Dream of Jeanie show where I have a 5 foot sequin genie bottle I actually come out of; and many more.
Where do you get the inspiration for your shows, how do you come up with the ideas?
My partner in crime!!
You’ve got alot of impressive titles and awards you have won, did you think when you started dancing you’d become such a successful feature dancer?
One could only hope so!
Out of all of the titles which one are you proudest of and which one was the most fun?
Miss Nude Entertainer of the Year 2008. This one doubles for most proud and most fun. I had been feature performing for only 3 months. I went to Nudes-A-Poppin to compete in the Rising Star division (under 2 years featuring experience). I wasn’t allowd to register in the Rising Star because the division was full. The only division I was able to compete in was Entertainer of the Year (2 or more years of featuring experience). I was so upset and thought there’s no way in hell I’m even placing. I won!! Tears were actually flowing out of my eyes I was so happy!
What, if any, goals have you set for yourself concerning performing and entertaining?
My goals are to continue to do the very best I can at all of my bookings and the rest just falls into place.
In your opinion is there anything clubs whether they are large or small can do to make things easier or more safe for the performers?
I’ve always felt safe at every club I’ve gone with the exception of one. Keys to a secure room should not be distributed to the entire staff of a club or friends of staff….it leads to theft.
Being Norway’s first ever feature entertainer is no small deal, how did that opportunity come about?
A club in Norway wanted to have a feature and my title of Miss Nude North America 2009 is what got me there.
Is there anywhere else internationally that you would love go to perform if you get the chance?
I’m game for anywhere!!
What did the audience think of your show, did they react differently then an audience in the US does?
The reaction was the same…I even got a standing ovation for my puppet shows.
Much of the society here in the US feel that women performing is degrading, did you get that vibe at all from the people you met in Norway?
Not at all….everyone was so friendly and respectful toward me. I’d go back anytime.
On that same subject what would you say to those same people who think what you do is degrading?
I didn’t get that vibe at all from the people in Norway. Actually, I rarely get that vibe anywhere I’m performing. But when I do, what I think is, you are in a Gentlemen’s Club to look at naked women. I’m the naked woman you’re looking at!!
How do your friends and family feel about the way you make a living?
My friends that I went to school with come to see my shows when I’m performing locally…I have friends that come to see me when I’m in their town….I have a lot of support from my friends. As for my family, some come to see my shows and some don’t come at all.
When you are able to get some free time what are your hobbies and passions, outside the adult entertainment world?
I love to workout and hang out on the beach…I’m a beach bum! I love to sightsee when I travel. I make a point of it.
I see you compare yourself to Jeff Dunham due to your puppet shows, it’s really too bad you can’t make your “cookie” spew words out of it, that would be one hell of a show! Are you a Jeff Dunham fan?
I absolutely love Jeff Dunham!!! I can watch his shows over and over again. I love all of his puppet acts but I think Peanut has to be my favorite. I would love to meet him.
Since we are talking about mainstream entertainment a bit, what are some of your favorites? Movies, authors, bands, song, etc?
Pretty Woman is by far my favorite movie; don’t read books…puts me to sleep; AC/DC; Motley Crue; Guns-N-Roses….love to listen to most 80′s music; I don’t have a favorite song…I like too many to pick just one.
You obviously travel a fair deal in the states and internationally for work, where is your favorite place to spend time?
I really enjoy everywhere I go. I love to sightsee if there is something to see where I’m booked, I’m there. I must say though, I am most definitely a beach bum…..I love to spend time at the beach.
What are your biggest turn ons? Turn offs?
Turn ons: Nice hair or no hair; nice teeth.
Turn Offs: Liars and snobs.
Do you have any pet peeves whether they be business or personal related that just drive you insane?
Disorganization annoys the hell out of me….everything should have a home.
Do you have any favorite charities?
Helping out the homeless.
What advice would you give to house dancers or girls that want to be feature dancers?
Find a niche that is different…different is good.
