Customer Testimonials: How Much Money Does This Guy Have?

Earnest walked into the bar I owned in Louisiana and said, “Bill, let’s go!”
To say I was a bit skeptical about going somewhere with Earnest would have been just a bit of an understatement. He had owed me money from the first day I had opened my bar. As a matter of fact, he was the first guy I had let have a tab and he had never gotten it down to zero. He always owed me a lot of money. Oh, he paid from time to time, but he’d build it back up.
At the time Earnest walked into my place and asked me to go with him he owed me $1175. I thought I just as soon go with him since I did not want to make him mad. Earnest was a good guy for the most part.
I jumped into Earnest’s truck, a brand new one. That made me just a bit peeved. But he drove me to the bank. We walked in and he withdrew enough money to pay me in full. I looked at him with wonder.
“Oil money,” he said, “They leased my land. My uncle, who never married, left me 640 acres of land. I leased it about a month ago for $500 per acre and a quarter of the mineral rights. You have always been nice to me and a big buddy and I am going to pay you back plus.”
We jumped back into Earnest’s truck and took off. He drove us to the nearest girly bar, where he spent a lot of his time. I reached down to take money to pay to go in.
“It’s all on me,” Earnest chimed in.
And it was all on him. Earnest set me up with a perpetual tab at the bar. Anytime I went in everything was on him. Now, I never went too overboard, but I enjoyed myself. Earnest had instructed several of the girls at the place to really take care of me.
So each time I went into the place some of “Earnest’s girls” would take of me. I got special treatment, such as lap dances and sometimes much more if no one was looking!!
How long has this been going on? I don’t even live in Louisiana anymore. But each time I go back everything is paid for. Earnest and I meet up sometimes to have some fun when I go back home. He still remembers after all these years. There’s no telling how many untold thousands of dollars I have spent at that girly bar. Now, that’s some fair interest on an $1200 debt isn’t it?
