“G-Sting” Corruption Scandal

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Miller in San Diego, California ruled in the “G-Sting” corruption scandal where former strip club owner Michael Galardi was the defendant. Judge Miller decided to put Mr. Galardi on “unsupervised supervised release” until January 2012.

Spending a year and a half in federal prison Michael Galardi plead guilty in a 2003 racketeering trial and ended up selling his Las Vegas and San Diego-area strip clubs. Testifying that he sent cash to Clark County commissioners in blue Crown Royal liquor pouches in order to sway votes in his favor and his business.

Many Clark County commission members were subsequently sentenced to prison for taking bribes.
