A group of former and current Rick’s Cabaret strippers want to keep their names a secret from lawyers seeking clients to join a class-action wage suit against one of the most powerful gentlemen’s club chains in the US. It’s said to be as much as 60 girls that want to stay anonymous and it looks like they aren’t budging.
Some might as “why be anonymous?” A lawyer representing the women said, “Our clients report that many patrons in clubs are, in face, attorneys” and that their experiences have led them “to be more suspicious of lawyers, not less”.
This has caught many people by surprise and I being disregarded by some due to the track record of Ricks Cabaret as a powerhouse in the industry. At the moment Judge John Koelti ruled that “no action is required from the court at this time because no motion has been filed.”
