At the climax of her career Annie Ample was 5-foot-8-inches tall with a 44-24-36 figure, and had become a featured stripper around the world. Ample first made worldwide appearance in 1981 when she was a unknown but quickly became noticed after photographed topless on the French Riviera beaches at the Cannes Film Festival. After this she was in multiple newspapers and this was the first of many successful publicity stunts during that decade. In 1985 she was in “Mugsy’s Girls”. This was filmed in Las Vegas and Ample landed the role of a girl-gang leader appropriately named Lungs. She became a member of both the Screen Actors Guild and the American Guild of Variety Artists, further legitimizing her celebrity status.
