Starvin Marvin Strip Club Chain Stirring Up Controversy In Michigan

It looks like the Detroit strip club scene is being shaken up and some club owners as well as the city isn’t too happy about it . In a city where there are an estimated 31 clubs, there is chain called Starvin Marvin strip clubs which within a year has grown to be 6 clubs and looks like they aren’t looking to slow down anytime soon. Considered to be huge, flashy as people who run it, Starvin Marvin is facing a lot of controversy in Detroit.
With huge developments come huge setbacks though and this is evident with the Starvin Marvin strip clubs. The city of Detroit sued one this summer and temporarily shut another one down for illegal renovations. Competitors are voicing their opinions by accusing the clubs of illegal dealings. As owner of Tycoons in Detroit and BT’s Lounge in Dearborn says “People in the industry are already tarnished in society. He (the owner of Starvin Marvin) makes us look bad”. So who is the owner of Starvin Marvin of Detroit?

Records show that Bilal Haidar, 24, of Dearborn is the owner but many are saying that his older brother Marwan “Marvin” Haidar, 30, of Deardorn Heights is the real owner. Regardless of who the owner is the word around is that “Marvin” served time in prison for fraud and recently traveled to a City Hall hearing with bodyguards while warning a reporter after getting into a Mercedes that it was equipped with “recording devices”. We don’t know how true the City Hall claim is but it’s a story that has spread through Detroit like wild fire.
This story has many sides to it but one thing is for sure, Starvin Marvin Strip Club of Detroit is making a huge splash and it doesn’t seem like they are looking to slow down anytime soon.(see the map above with the locations of each club and where they are looking to open up another Starvin Marvin)
