New York Mob Smuggles Immigrants For Strip Clubs In Queens and Long Island

Trafficking women across state borders or countries is nothing new to all of us. These sort of dealings have been occurring on the black-market since the era of Jesus Christ himself and in today’s world these dealings still happen regularly. We can ask ex-Giants players/NFL hall of famer Lawrence Taylor what he was thinking when his pimp “buddy” brought a minor across state lines for his personal pleasure. Furthermore, how about the lead actor for the movie “Taken” Oscar winning Liam Neeson. For those who never saw “Taken”, The action thriller is based on former CIA operative Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills who sets about tracking his daughter after she is kidnapped by Albanian sex traders while exploring France. Who can forget Neeson bad-ass aggression and tearing Paris apart in search of his daughter.

In recent news the FBI has investigated and reportedly dismantled a mob run racket, which was smuggling women from Russia and various areas of Eastern Europe. The trafficked women began working at local strip clubs and lord knows what else. More than 20 individuals were arrested including Gambino crime capo Alponse Trucchio. Charges include visa fraud, marriage fraud, and transporting illegal aliens.

Our buddies at the New York Post gave us more info about this topic. The ring provided women to owners and operators of jiggle joints in Queens and Long Island, and then charge the clubs “protection” money, authorities said.

“The named defendants are charged with participating in a scheme that recruited Russian and other Eastern European women and assisted them in fraudulently obtaining summer work and travel visas,” according to federal prosecutors.

It goes on to say that “The defendants procured and sent these women false job offers for waitressing and other positions they would then include on their visa applications. However, once the women arrived in the U.S., they worked as exotic dancers at the strip clubs, in violation of visa rules prohibiting employment in the adult entertainment industry.”

The 34-year-old Howard Beach resident Trucchio is facing eight criminal counts — racketeering conspiracy, racketeering, three counts of extortion, visa fraud conspiracy, conspiracy to transport illegal aliens and marriage fraud.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
