Guest Blogger: Fawnia Dietrich Start In The Industry!!

In 1994 I began working as an exotic dancer. I was fresh out of high school and needed to make a living. Having been living on my own, for already four years, working as a stripper began looking like a very attractive job, financially and hey – all those dancers were so pretty and perfect.
In Canada women danced on stage for a min of 18 minutes and performed about four to six times a day within a 12 hour period. Much different then life as an exotic dancer in the USA, or other parts of the world.
Just as I was turning 19 my friends and I visited a strip club. My first time in a club was an interesting experience. The entire concept intrigued me and though I didn’t want to admit it at first, I was very interested in learning more about these ladies who danced and how I could become one of them.
A few hours later, the waitress had given me the number for a booking agent in Vancouver. When I asked for information on the closest pole dancing school, the waitress laughed, “there is no school for pole dancing.”
“That’s weird,…” thoughts were going through my mind and I made a note to one day start a school. Just had to learn a couple pole tricks first.
I went on to dance from Oct, 9th 1994 – March 2nd 1996 and took home a few exotic dance titles along the way. Dancing gave me a new appreciation for health and fitness as I lost 30 pounds for working as a stripper.
Today I teach the art of pole dancing in my two schools. Pole Fitness Studio in Las Vegas is where I call home.
I would love to meet up and help YOU reach for health and fitness goals, or simply teach you a few pole moves!!
